Communication drives successful logistic operation
Logistic operators are driving force in enabling supply and chain, ensuring manufactured goods are delivered to the end users smoothly. Throughout the journey, logistic operators must communicate and collaborate each other to identify and resolve issues collaboratively.
BACKGROUND
Activity Feed is where all the important activity took place
The Activity Feed within Slync.io played a crucial role for logistic operators, serving as a primary tool for them to examine important system updates on shipment orders and to review comments specific to shipment order.
PROBLEM
Operators were having hard time distinguishing comments from system updates and unable to easily identify other operators that were involved.

How might we simplify commenting experience so that logistic operators are more engaged in collaboration?
GOALS
With various problems and challenges that we identified within Activity Feed, we set out these goals that we aimed to achieve to drive engagement and adoption of commenting feature.
Improve information architecture
So that users better differentiate system updates from comments.
Improve visibility of collaborators
So that users can identify the operators that are involved more efficiently.
Improve awareness
So that users can stay up to date on any key updates made to specific shipment order.
SOLUTION
Dedicating space for Collaboration

Separated Comment tab

In order to clearly distinguish the role of system updates and comments, we separated user comments into its own tab from rest of system updates.

Subscribing for notification

We also provided ways for operators to subscribe to specific shipment order in order to receive important updates via e-mail notification.

Inviting collaborators

We added a new functionality to allow operators to invite other operators to collaborate on managing shipment orders.
